Earthbound is a game in the "Mother" series and is apparently the only Mother game that got released outside Japan. This game did not get released in Europe (and you probably know this from reading the info on the Ness trophy in SSBM). It stars the well known character in Super Smash Bros. "Ness". He may not be such a cool character in SSB but in EarthBound, he's a lot different. Earthbound has very similar gameplay to the Dragon Quest series (other than VIII and i'm not too sure about VII). There are three games in the Mother series; Second in the series being called EarthBound. This game is called "Mother 2" in Japan.

Graphics 8/10 Looks really kiddy but still not too bad.
Sound 7/10 Some rather unusual music.
Gameplay 8/10 It's a modern day Dragon Quest!!
Character Design 5/10 Some very weird and annoying characters.
Storyline Not rated
Overall 8/10 A great classic! If you like RPGs or Nintendo games, then you will like this!!
