Dragon Quest is a series made by Enix that is similar to the Final Fantasy series. This game used to be called Dragon Warrior in the US because Enix was trying to avoid the copyright of the crossword game "Dragon Quest".
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King preview
Dragon Quest is finally coming to Europe and it sounds like it will be a huge success. It got RPG of the Year 2005 on IGN.com! The same artist as the Dragonball series Akira Toriyama. Also the first 3-D Dragon Quest game. It reminds me of a cross between Dragonball, Z/GT and Final Fantasy. I've also heard that the series has a lot to do with a weird looking slimeball. Heck, they have also released a slime controller during the release of DQ8! In conclusion, I think I will enjoy this game and I think, so will a lot of others!

There are a few Dragon Quest games that have been announced. There is Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime for the Nintendo DS and Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors for the Nintendo Wii. There is also Dragon Quest: Yangus for the PS2 which has been released in Japan. I'm not too sure about anywhere else. It is based on Yangus' Past.

Dragon Quest IX
Dragon Quest IX is the 9th installment in the acclaimed Dragon Quest series, to be published an developed by Square Enix. It has been rumored that Dragon Quest IX would be a Wii exclusive game, should "Rocket Slime" (for DS) and the Dragon Quest Wii Launch game (most likely a spin-off of the Dragon Quest franchise) sell well. However, nothing has been confirmed about this rumor and nothing else is known about the game.
Dragon Quest VIII has sold around 400,000 copies in Europe. Come on guys! Another 100k and it will go on Platinum!!
