Rarity and Greatest Hits
Final Fantasy Chronicles, unlike previous Final Fantasy titles, didn't have a seemingly endless supply of copies on the market. The game quickly went out of print, especially as Final Fantasy Chronicles came into the gaming market. At used gamestores the game was usually priced from $30-$60 based on the foundation that it was rare, and usually sold on ebay for around $50.
In 2004, Square Enix re-released Final Fantasy Chronicles as a greatest hits. Some people, however, don't like the idea of having the greatest hits edition, and still try to find the original black jeweled case edition.
Many fans also try to find the original SNES cartridge of Chrono Trigger simply because the load times are long.
Chrono Trigger Resurrection
There were a lot of people trying to remake Chrono Trigger. One of the projects was Chrono Trigger Resurrection. It was supposed to get remade for the Nintendo Gamecube but sadly, Square-Enix stopped the project back in 2004. The screenshot above is a screenshot of the scrapped Chrono Trigger Resurrection.
